What the Labels Actually Mean
People slap "opposite" and "adjacent" on triangle sides like it means something fixed. It doesn't.
Those labels depend entirely on which angle you're looking at. The same side is opposite one angle and adjacent to another. Get the angle wrong, and your entire calculation is garbage.
Here's the only thing that never changes: the hypotenuse. It's always the longest side, always across from the 90° corner.

Example: You have a right triangle with a 30° angle. The side across from it is 5 units long. You want the hypotenuse.
